Spotlight on Our Volunteers

Kids Choice Award

WHEELS students choose the volunteer(s) of their choice to receive this award at the end of each year. The recipient of this award is someone who has formed a strong connection and made a positive impact on the students taking part in the program.

Lion of the Year Award

This honor is awarded to the Columbia University athletes who have played a vital role during classroom discussions and have made a lasting impression on the WHEELS students. WHEELS students choose one Columbia athlete from each of the participating sports to receive this award.

Volunteer of the Year Award

The recipient of this award has demonstrated immense dedication to executing the vision of Level The Field by consistently devoting his/her time during intercollegiate contests and sports clinics, as well as assisting during fundraisers and daily operations.
