Jaclyn Chu
Jaclyn received her BA in English from Columbia University. After graduating from Columbia, she worked for a national media research company in New York. Jaclyn then relocated to Los Angeles where she worked at a premier word-of-mouth marketing agency and then at a start-up media software company helping to establish operations in Los Angeles and, subsequently, New York. She is now pursuing entrepreneurial ventures and is very active within the non-profit network in New York City for various charities. At Columbia, she was a member of the Women's Varsity Soccer team, teammates with Erica Woda, and a member of the Women's Varsity Lacrosse team. Being a native New Yorker, she has strong ties to the city and its people and looks forward to helping LTF students excel and succeed.
Brent Chudoba
Brent grew up in northern Virginia and attended Columbia University in New York City where he was a member of the Columbia University Varsity Men’s soccer team. Brent currently resides in San Francisco and works for SurveyMonkey, a provider of web-based survey solutions, as its Vice President of Business Strategy. In prior roles as a private equity and hedge fund investor and an Investment Banker, Brent focused on evaluating and investing in businesses in the Internet, software and media sectors. Brent is excited to help LTF bring the values and benefits inherent in organized team sports to underprivileged students, and to help LTF scale its efforts and reach new supporters.
Christianna Coates
An overseas member of our advisory board, Christianna is from London, England, where she works as an insurance underwriter in Lloyd's of London. She attended Bedales School in Petersfield, Hampshire followed by St Andrews University, Scotland. Both educational environments deeply emphasized the importance of team sports for individual development and clearly displayed the results of academic and athletic harmony.
Initially involved in the guidance and procurement of the LTF insurance policy, Christianna quickly became initiated into the LTF team with active roles in fundraising and business planning. Christianna is also responsible for the newly established partnership between LTF and the Young Reinsurance and Insurance Professionals Network.
Michael Hoverman
Michael Hoverman grew up in Warwick, New York and attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine where he was a member of the Bates College Varsity Men's tennis team, which was ranked in the top 20 nationally in Division III for each of his four years at Bates. Michael works in the private equity and infrastructure funds division of Macquarie Group Limited in New York City. Michael enjoys working with kids and wants to help LTF make a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of underprivileged urban students. Having worked as a tennis instructor throughout high school and college, he has a strong background working with kids in an athletic arena.
Julia Nosov-Hoverman
Julia Nosov-Hoverman grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine where she graduated with a BA in Economics. Julia currently works as a hedge fund analyst at Measurisk, a subsidiary of JP Morgan Chase in New York City. Having played soccer and basketball throughout high school, Julia was able to experience the advantages of participating in team sports first hand. Because of these benefits, Julia feels it is important that other children are given the same opportunities to partake in organized activities outside of the classroom.
Robert Sheehan
Robert Sheehan grew up in New York City and played both soccer and baseball at Columbia's Baker field, the complex where LTF participants spend the majority of their time. LTF incorporates two of his passions as its core principles: team sports and equal opportunity in education. While attending University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Urban Studies, he tutored students in West Philadelphia schools and instructed at a sports camp for inner-city youth. He now works at Brooklyn Legal Services Corporation A in East New York, Brooklyn in the Foreclosure Prevention and Anti-Predatory Lending Unit.
Gui Stampur
Gui Stampur was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. He attended Riverdale Country High School in the Bronx. Gui and Erica Woda became close friends during their first soccer preseason at Columbia University in 2000. Gui is currently in his third year at Fordham Law. As a lifetime New Yorker, Gui grew up playing sports in AYSO, Safe Haven Basketball, and West Side and Harlem Little League. He played club soccer for the Manhattan Soccer Club and led his high school team, Riverdale Country School to consecutive New York City Ivy League soccer titles, its first ever State Championship in soccer in 1999 and in baseball in 2000. He went on to play NCAA Division 1 soccer for Columbia University, and was team captain in his senior year during which they were a nationally ranked Top 25 team. For his efforts, he was named to the All-Ivy League team and awarded Columbia 's team MVP award.
Gui has many years of soccer, baseball and basketball coaching experience in New York City. He loves working with kids, regularly tutors public school students, and last summer worked at The Door's Legal Services as the Ann Moynihan Summer Fellow assisting young people with immigration matters
